Insufficient Proof of Return

Insufficient Proof of Return takes its title from a phrase commonly cited in visa rejections. The work grew out of an ongoing inquiry into formal and informal lodging houses used by South Asian seafarers in London, the long ties between Sylhet and the city, and my own encounters while moving through London. The open studio marked a moment of arrival at these questions.
