Half Salt is a series of photographs made in parallel with ongoing research into the tidal sluice gates in Goa. The images create a realm of their own—one that explores its human entanglements, weather, and time. It gestures toward a language of the estuary.
The process has been slow and mostly self-taught—working with analogue photography, learning to develop and print, often using expired stock. There’s been a lot of trial and error, with moments of surprise and ongoing attempts to understand and shape certain visual qualities. The images lean into an atmosphere—held between familiarity and the uncanny.
