Pulse (2019)
book, animation and drawings
Pulse city coughs and breaths, bloats and shrinks, spreads from vein to vein, cries while rolling on the floor laughing its ass off. The book features reports from pulse city, told by anonymous narrators and through portions of a biologist's lost-and-found journal. In the world of pulse, humans eradicated most species and started living in a fabricated ecosystem tailored to their needs. But in the shadows, a host of insects start to adopt new ways of existing - mutating to camouflage or create protective shields - to resist erasure. The biologist, attentive and observant of these changes, soon goes missing.
